Sick
“I cannot go to school today,"
Said little Peggy Ann McKay.
“I have the measles and the mumps,
A gash, a rash and purple bumps.
My mouth is wet, my throat is dry,
I’m going blind in my right eye.
My tonsils are as big as rocks,
I’ve counted sixteen chicken pox
And there’s one more--that’s seventeen,
And don’t you think my face looks green?
My leg is cut--my eyes are blue--
It might be instamatic flu.
I cough and sneeze and gasp and choke,
I’m sure that my left leg is broke--
My hip hurts when I move my chin,
My belly button’s caving in,
My back is wrenched, my ankle’s sprained,
My ‘pendix pains each time it rains.
My nose is cold, my toes are numb.
I have a sliver in my thumb.
My neck is stiff, my voice is weak,
I hardly whisper when I speak.
My tongue is filling up my mouth,
I think my hair is falling out.
My elbow’s bent, my spine ain’t straight,
My temperature is one-o-eight.
My brain is shrunk, I cannot hear,
There is a hole inside my ear.
I have a hangnail, and my heart is--what?
What’s that? What’s that you say?
You say today is. . .Saturday?
G’bye, I’m going out to play!”

1- IT'S FUN TO HAVE A PET!
Cats and rabbits
And hamsters and frogs
Snakes and turtles
And gerbils and dogs
Firh that love to be all wet
OH it's fun to have a pet
Pets have needs, pets need care
Give the selter and treat then fairl
Pets have needs, pets need you
Food and water and exercise too!
Femets and mice
And parrot and bugs
Lizar and crabs
And tarantulas
Horses you ride now don't forget
OH it's fun to have a pet.
2-MY SENSES
I can hear the birds sing
The dogs ark, the cat miow
I can hear YOU !
I see the glass grow
The bright stars, the yellow moon
i can see the white snow
I can see you
I can smell the roast meat
The fresh bread, the pretty flowers
I can smell you dirty feet
I can smell you!
I can touch the soft grass
The cold ice, the wet rain
I can touch the smooth glass
I can touch you.
I can taste the crispy apple
The chocolate bar
The cream cake
I can taste the fresh pineapple
I can taste you
There is and old lady who lives down the hall
Wrinkled and gray and toothless and small.
At seven already she's up,
Going from door to door with a cup.
Do you have any sugar? She asks
Although she's got more than you
Dou you have any sugar? She asks,
4- CITY CITY
City, city
Wrong and bad,
Looms above me
When I'm sad
Throws it shadow
On my care,
She's Ir poison
In my air,
Pound me with sadness
On my face,
I long to libe
Another place
